On Sunday 22nd June 2008 the Mid-Bedfordshire village of Haynes is holding it’s second Haynes Village 100. It is a celebration of motoring through the ages, the centrepiece of which is the closed road parade which will bring the sights and sounds alive. The event was held in 2006 and 2007 and proved to be a great success with over 120 vehicles parading the 2.7 mile village route and static display on the Haynes Village playing field. The 2008 event will follow a similar format to the 2007 event with participants displaying their vehicles in a static display before embarking on a 2.7 mile lap of the village perimeter through open countryside. The wider event consists of a village gala, trade stalls and family entertainment. Motoring history through the last 100 years will be the theme of the event by showing examples from as many years as possible between 1906 and 2008. The event is open to cars, motorcycles and light commercial and agricultural vehicles. To join in the event please register your vehicle via the entry form.
